Predmetová komisia základnej školy s materskou školou Banka organizuje májovú súťaž pre žiakov našej školy o najlepší príbeh v anglickom jazyku. Zapojiť sa a poslať svoj príbeh môžete od 1. mája do 31. mája. Prvá cena je 20€ poukážka do kníhkupectva Panta Rhei. Nezabudnite dodržať našich 7 pravidiel. Tešíme sa na Vaše príbehy.
Competition Guidelines:
The aim of our short story competition is to write about anything you love, whether it’s monsters, food, sports, fairies, talking animals… Let your imagination go wild, kids! We would love to see stories, with humour, with conflict and more importantly stories that keep us reading over and over again! To enter our competition follow these guidelines:
1) It must be a fictional story, between 250-1,000 words.
2) You can write about anything you like.
3) All stories must be submitted in English.
4) Entries can only be accepted online at www.zssmsbanka.edupage.org
5) Entries open on the 1st MAY and the DEADLINE is midnight MAY 31st.
6) Entries will be judged on the following criteria: Originality, Plot, Characters, Language, Enjoyment
7) Be fair and do not copy the story from the Internet and do not let anyone write it for you.

Rozprávanie – narrative (story)
Zvyčajne sa píše v prvej osobe (I/we) (pisateľ rozpráva, čo sa nám prihodilo – We were walking down the street when...) alebo v tretej osobe pisateľ rozpráva príbeh o inej osobe alebo iných ľuďoch (He was walking down the street when...)
Ak to nie je list, alebo iný druh kompozície, každé rozprávanie by malo mať názov.
MY UNLUCKY DAY
It happened on Friday evening two weeks ago – the sky was clear and the moon was bright. I was at my favourite pub with my friends, but it was quite boring, so I decided to go home.
When I came home, no one was there. I sat on the sofa and turned the television on. It was very cold in there. I tried to turn up the central heating but it didn´t help. It was getting colder and colder. I didn´t even notice it because I was trying to focus on my favourite television series. But then, I heard some strange noise from upstairs. “It must be Cookie,” I thought and I kept watching without any doubts.
However, I heard that noise again. And I realised that it couldn´t be Cookie, the cat because she was sleeping under the kitchen table. I stood up immediately and I went upstairs to see what was going on. As I was walking on my toes, I suddenly noticed a broken window in the hall. It was freezing outside, and all that cold air was flowing into the house.
When I came upstairs, I saw him. There was a burglar. He was looking for something in my parents’ bedroom. I didn´t know what to do because I had never seen a burglar before. As I was running to call the police, I fell off the stairs. I hit my head and I got a nosebleed.
And what happened next? Well, I woke up in hospital in the morning. My parents told me that it didn't matter what he had taken. They were glad that I was alive - and so was I.
Úvod - umiestniť príbeh (miesto, čas, atmosféra), osoby; malo by to byť napísané zaujímavo, aby čitateľ pokračoval v čítaní
Jadro - rozvíja príbeh, prezentuje udalosti v poradí, ako sa stali (podrobný popis); viac ako jeden odstavec je potrebný na rozvinutie každej udalosti a jej spojenie s celým príbehom
Záver - záver príbehu (pointa), opísať pocity, postoje ľudí, záverečný komentár alebo reakcie
